Sequential polling

The machine can request documents from
several fax machines in one operation.

Make sure you are in Fax mode
.

Press Menu, 2, 1, 7.

Press a or b to choose Standard,
Secure
or Timer.
Press OK.

Do one of the following:
If you chose Standard, go to
step e.
If you chose Secure, enter a four-
digit number, press OK, go to
step e.
If you did not enter the correct
Secure Code you will receive the
following message Disconnected.
If you chose Timer, enter the time
(24-hour format) you want to begin
polling and press OK, go to step e.

Specify the destination fax machines,
which you wish to poll by using One-
Touch, Speed-Dial, Search, a Group or
the dial pad. You must press OK
between each location.

Press Start.
The machine polls each number or
group in turn for a document.
Press Stop/Exit while the machine is dialling
to cancel the polling process.
To cancel all sequential polling receive jobs,
see Checking and cancelling waiting
jobs on page 24.
Polled transmit

Polled Transmit is when you set up your
machine to wait with a document so another
fax machine can call and retrieve it.
Setup for polled transmit

Make sure you are in Fax mode

Load your document.

Press Menu, 2, 2, 6.

Press a or b to choose Standard.
Press OK.

Do one of the following:
Press 1 to leave a paper document
waiting in the ADF.
If you want to use the ADF before the
paper document is polled, you must
control the job.
Press 2 to scan the document into
the memory.

The LCD shows:

1.Yes 2.No

Press 2 and press Start.
Note
Once a document has bean stored in
memory for Polling Transmit, it can be
sent and received more than once.
