ISOLATOR BAND
LOW, MID, HIGH ISOLATOR
RESET/SELECT
Isolator Function (*)
Using this function allows the user to isolate the audio spectrum into three fre-
quency ranges (LOW, MID and HIGH), and freely cut or combine any of the ranges
as desired.
1. Press the ISOLATOR RESET/SELECT button and select
whether the isolator function is to be applied to CD or
memory card (in dual mode ☞ P. 30).
÷ Even when in dual mode, the isolator function can be applied to only one
of the two media sources (CARD or CD).
÷ When entering dual mode, the ISOLATOR [CD] indicator will light. The
playback audio from the memory card is throughput on all frequencies,
but the CD sound will continue to be modified by the isolator setting made
previous to loading of the memory card.
÷ If you wish to apply isolator settings to the memory card playback in dual
mode, press the ISOLATOR RESET/SELECT button. The ISOLATOR
[CARD] indicator will light, and both CD and memory card will have
throughput on all frequencies. The isolator function can be applied to
memory card playback.
÷ In CD (single) mode and CARD (single) mode, the isolator function switches
automatically to apply isolator effects on whichever media is being played;
when this occurs, either the ISOLATOR [CD] or ISOLATOR [CARD]
indicator will light to indicate to which media source the effect is applied.
÷ In single mode, the ISOLATOR RESET/SELECT button operates as a
band reset function; the LOW, MID, and HIGH buttons will all light, in-
dicating throughput on all frequencies.
2 Press the ISOLATOR BAND button (LOW, MID or HIGH)
corresponding to the band you wish to cut.
÷ The pressed button indicator will go out and the corresponding frequency
band will be cut.
÷ If all three buttons LOW, MID, HIGH are pressed, all bands will be cut,
and no sound will be heard from the playing media; in this case, the LOW,
MID, and HIGH buttons will all flash as a warning.
÷ Regardless of the current mode (dual or single), pressing the ISOLATOR
RESET/SELECT button causes all frequency bands to be reset for full
throughput (band reset). In dual mode, however, the media will also switch.
NOTE:
÷ When an ISOLATOR BAND button indicator is lighted, the corresponding
frequency band is not cut (sound is audible). The button indicator goes
out to indicate that a band has been cut (isolator effect is applied). Take
care to note this difference and prevent mistaken use.
Fonction Isolateur (*)
Grâce à cette fonction, vous pouvez isoler le spectre audio en trois gammes de
fréquence (LOW, MID et HIGH), puis couper ou combiner à volonté ces gammes
selon vos préférences.
1. Appuyez sur le sélecteur ISOLATOR RESET/SELECT et
décidez si la fonction Isolateur doit être appliquée à un
CD ou à une carte mémoire (en mode double ☞ p. 30).
÷ Même en mode double, la fonction Isolateur ne peut être appliquée qu’à
l’un des supports (Carte ou CD).
÷ Lors de l’entrée en mode double, le voyant ISOLATOR [CD] s’allume.
Les sons provenant de la carte mémoire sont fournis sur toutes les fréquences,
mais les sons d’un CD continuent d’être modifiés par le réglage d’isolateur,
effectués avant l’insertion de la carte mémoire.
÷ Si vous souhaitez appliquer les réglages d’isolateur à la lecture d’une carte
mémoire en mode double, appuyez sur le bouton ISOLATOR RESET/
SELECT. Le voyant ISOLATOR [CARD] s’allume; le CD et la carte
mémoire sont alors fournis directement sur toutes les fréquences. La
fonction Isolateur peut être appliquée à la lecture de la carte mémoire.
÷ En mode CD (simple) et CARD (simple), la fonction Isolateur agit
automatiquement pour appliquer les effets d’isolateur au support en cours
de lecture. Dans ce cas, le voyant ISOLATOR [CD] ou ISOLATOR
[CARD] s’allume pour signaler à quel source l’effet est appliqué.
÷ En mode simple, le bouton ISOLATOR RESET/SELECT agit comme
fonction d’initialisation de gamme; les boutons LOW. MID et HIGH
s’allument, indiquant la sortie directe sur toutes les fréquences.
2 Appuyez sur le bouton ISOLATOR BAND (LOW, MID ou
HIGH) correspondant à la gamme que vous voulez
couper.
÷ Le voyant du bouton coupé s’éteint et la gamme de fréquence correspondante
est coupée.
÷ Si les trois boutons (LOW, MID et HIGH) sont enfoncés, toutes les gammes
sont coupées et aucun son ne provient du support reproduit. Dans ce cas,
les boutons LOW, MID et HIGH clignotent en guise d’avertissement.
÷ Quel que soit le mode en cours (double ou simple), une pression sur le
bouton ISOLATOR RESET/SELECT réinitialisent toutes les gammes de
fréquence pour une sortie directe et complète (Initialisation des gammes).
Mais en mode double, le support permute aussi.
REMARQUE :
÷ Lorsque le voyant du bouton ISOLATOR BAND est allumé, la gamme de
fréquence correspondante n’est pas coupée (le son est audible). Le voyant
du bouton s’éteint pour signaler qu’une gamme a été coupée (l’effet
d’isolateur est appliqué). Tenez compte de cette différence pour éviter une
utilisation erronée.
Les fonctions accompagnées d’un “*” ne sont pas utilisables lorsque
l’interrupteur de mode numérique (DIGITAL OUT) est activé (ON) (et que
la borne de sortie numérique est utilisée.)
