To change the settings for the RS-232 port on the management module,
perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed.
2. From the System Configuration Menu, select Terminal
Configuration. The Terminal Configuration Menu is displayed.
3. Adjust the settings as required. The parameters are described below.
Full-duplex (echo)
Half-duplex (no echo)
These two selections control the duplex mode of the RS-232 port. In
full-duplex, the management module echoes the characters received
from the workstation back to the workstation. In half-duplex, the
management module does not echo the characters received from the
workstation. If each character typed at the workstation is being
displayed twice, select the half-duplex mode. The default is full-
duplex.
Data rate (‘baud’ rate)
This selection allows you to specify the speed of the port. When you
select this option, the Terminal Data Rate Menu is displayed listing
the baud rates. The default is Automatic baud rate detection. Possible
baud rates are:
4. Return to the Main Menu. Changes to the port parameters take effect
immediately on the port.
