The Display ARP Table menu is shown in Figure 55.

The Display ARP Table menu displays a table that contains the
following columns of information: The information in this table is for
viewing purposes only.
Interface
The network interface of a table entry. The switch has two network
interfaces. The “loopback” designation represents the interface used
by the switch for internal diagnostics. The “eth0” designation
represents the Ethernet network interface.
IP Address and
MAC Address
The IP addresses and their corresponding MAC addresses.
Type
The type of ARP entry. Possible entry types are:
Permanent — The diagnostics loopback entry is the only
permanent entry. It can never be deleted from the table.
Temporary — The network node is located on the same subnet as
the switch.
Unknown — The network node is located on a different subnet
from the switch.
Inactive temporary and unknown entries are timed out of the table in
compliance with the ARP cache timeout value.
