Advanced: Configure options for the keyboard, including resetting the suggestion list
of words you’ve saved while entering text.
Language + Region
Choose a default language for your phone’s screens, plus other options related to language.
1. From
Start, swipe left to Apps, and then tap
Settings.
2. Swipe left or right to display System, and then tap language + region.
3. Configure these options:
Phone language: Choose a language for your phone’s screens.
Country/Region: Choose a country or region.
Regional format: Choose a regional format. This option controls how items on your
phone displays, such as the date and time formats, and currency symbols.
Browser & search language: Choose a language to use when browsing and
searching the Web.
Ease of Access
Configure options for making your phone easier to use, including text size, screen contrast, and
other adjustments.
1. From
Start, swipe left to Apps, and then tap
Settings.
2. Swipe left or right to display System, and then tap ease of access.
3. Configure these options:
Text size: Drag the slider along the bar to set the default size for text. As you drag
the slider, the text sample shows you an example.
High contrast: Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn the option On or Off. When On, the
phone may change the colors for some features, and hide background images, to
improve contrast.
Screen magnifier: Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn the option On or Off. When On,
you can double-tap the screen with two fingers to magnify the display. To pan, slide
two fingers across the screen. To change the magnification level, double-tap the
screen with two fingers, then pan up or down.
Speech for phone accessibility: Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn the option On or
Off. When On, your phone reads out information for speed dials, call forwarding, and
caller ID.
