2. Your phone will automatically detect the connection, and what happens next depends on
your computer:
 Windows 8 PC: The Windows Phone app will install automatically.
 Windows 7 PC: A link will appear to install the Windows Phone app.
 Mac: Get the Windows phone app from the Mac App Store.
3. You can choose one of the options above, and use the Windows Phone app to move
files, or use Windows Explorer on a PC.
Update Your Phone
From time to time, updates may become available for your phone. Use System update options
to update your phone’s internal software.
1. From Start, swipe left to Apps, and then tap Settings.
2. Swipe left or right to display System, and then tap phone update.
3. Use these options:
 Check for updates: Tap to see if updates are available for your phone.
 Tell me when updates are available for my phone: Tap to enable or disable
notifications for new updates. You can choose whether to accept updates.
 Automatically download updates if my data settings allow it: Tap to enable or
disable automatic download of phone updates. This option may depend on whether
you’ve restricted access to mobile data service.
