Digital Still Camera Mode : Advanced Techniques
✤ Continuous Auto Focus function works in (Program), MySET, M, S, A and SCENE
(CHILDREN and CLOSE-UP) modes.
✤ The CHILDREN mode enables you to take better pictures when children will not "stay still".
✤ Allows the user to focus rapidly, whereas the single auto focus gives a less rapid response
but saves battery power.
✤ When Continuous Auto Focus mode is selected, [CAF] icon is displayed on the LCD screen.
1. Set the Power switch to (CAMERA).
2. Set the Mode Dial to (Program), MySET, M, S or A.
■ Continuous Auto Focus is set automatically when you set the scene mode to CHILDREN
or CLOSE-UP.
3. Press the MF/AF button until [CAF] icon is displayed.
■ The [CAF] icon is displayed.
4. Press the photo button to take the photo.
5. To return to Auto Focus Mode, press the MF/AF button until the [CAF] icon disappears.
[ Notes ]
■ EASY.Q mode selects the AUTO FOCUS automatically.
■ Be sure to confirm that the focus is set using the LCD screen or the viewfinder when Manual
Focusing is used.
■ Continuous Auto Focus will consume more battery power.
