Cabling the Server

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:

Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power
supply.

Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server.

If the system has multiple power supplies, disconnect power from the
system by unplugging all power cords from the power supplies.

Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding plug is an
important safety feature.

Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet that is
easily accessible at all times.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not plug
telecommunications/telephone connectors into the network interface
card (NIC) receptacles.

CAUTION: To prevent data corruption, do not connect the server to a low line power
source (110 VAC). Low line power is not supported.

To cable your server:

1. Connect the power cords and peripheral devices such as the keyboard, mouse,

and monitor.

NOTE: When the power cord is connected, the IMD display should light up, indicating
that the server is in Standby mode.
