Cabling the Server
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:
•
Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power
supply.
•
Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server.
•
If the system has multiple power supplies, disconnect power from the
system by unplugging all power cords from the power supplies.
•
Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding plug is an
important safety feature.
•
Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet that is
easily accessible at all times.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not plug
telecommunications/telephone connectors into the network interface
card (NIC) receptacles.
CAUTION: To prevent data corruption, do not connect the server to a low line power
source (110 VAC). Low line power is not supported.
To cable your server:
1. Connect the power cords and peripheral devices such as the keyboard, mouse,
and monitor.
NOTE: When the power cord is connected, the IMD display should light up, indicating
that the server is in Standby mode.
