Cooling system and fans
The fans cool the CPU, main memory, and voltage regulators. For the Brocade ICX 7750, the fans
use either:
• An exhaust airflow which moves air from front to back. Refer to Figure 24 . Devices with exhaust
airflow are labeled with a green arrow with an “E.” Refer to Figure 25 .
• An intake airflow which moves air from back to front. Refer to Figure 26 . Devices with intake
airflow are labeled with an orange arrow with an “I.” Refer to Figure 27 .
CAUTION
Be sure that the airflow direction of the power supply unit matches that of the installed fan tray.
The power supplies and fan trays are clearly labeled with either a green arrow with an “E” for
exhaust, or an orange arrow with an “I” for intake.
