Each CC-1600 card cage holds 16 cards. The CC-400 holds up to four cards. All card cage slots on

each motherboard are identical. Most of the connections to the system are made to the motherboard
on the back of the card cage. For each Digital Audio Repeater / Mixer card there are the following
connections (each AB-100 AudioBrick has all these connections except the VCA and MIX INPUTs on the
screw terminals on the outside of itÕs case):

Output: Line level low impedance output. An optional transformer with an impedance of 150
or 600 ohms can be mounted to these screw terminals if needed.

Mix 'A' Input: Balanced 10K input impedance.

Mix 'B' Input: Balanced 10K input impedance.

¥

Aux. Input: For access to each cards' summing point (see block diagrams).

¥

Repeater Start Input: Optically isolated from all other parts of the system.

¥

Repeater Status Output: Optically isolated from all other parts of the system.

¥

Voltage Controlled Amplifier (VCA) Input: 0-10 VDC input signal.

With the one exception of the 'Aux Input' all connections are by screw terminals on CC-1600 and

CC-400 card cages. The 'AUX' input is terminated by a two pin MOLEX connector. As the 'AUX' input is
but rarely used, it is shipped unstuffed on the motherboards.

If the start and status inputs are running from the internal power supply, adjacent cards can have
