3.3

Magnetic reed contacts

Magnetic reed contacts (e.g. HAA25, HAA27 …) are normally closed (NC) contacts that are mainly
used for checking the status of doors, windows etc…. They can be placed in any zone, although it is
not recommended to use them in zone 7 and 8. The cabling from the master control unit as well as
the reed contact should be installed by a qualified person.

Mount part 1 on a moving surface, e.g. a door.

Mount part 2 on a fixed surface e.g. a door post, as close as possible and in line with part 1.

Remove the cover of the contacts (3) by sliding it sideward.

Connect the wires from the master control unit.

Replace the cover (3).

Output devices

Output devices produce audible and/or visible indication of an occurring alarm condition. One
electronic siren is included in this kit, but other options are possible, e.g. strobe light, bell ….

Make sure all power is removed from the system before installing (additional)
sirens, strobe lights, bells…!

4.1

Electronic siren

The electronic siren is a warning device providing audible feedback when an alarm condition is
detected. It requires a 12VDC input from the alarm systems’ master control unit. The cabling from
the master control unit should be installed by a qualified person.

In some areas, (outdoor) use of an electronic siren is restricted. Verify the
applicable regulation in your region with the local authorities.

The siren is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use (check local regulations).

Mount the siren and connect the leads to the leads coming from the master control unit.

Control units

Basically two types of control units can be connected to the alarm system, a digital keypad (e.g.
HAA263D, HAA85WP) or a key switch (e.g. HAA80MK).

Make sure all power is removed from the system before installing (additional)
keypads or key switches!

5.1

Digital keypad HAA263D

The HAA263D is a control keypad for the HAM263D alarm system. The alarm system can be
controlled by one single (master) keypad, or in a configuration with multiple (up to 4) HAA263D
control keypads, giving the user the flexibility to control the alarm system from different locations.
Simply connect the auxiliary keypad(s) in parallel with the leads of the master keypad; they will
have the exact same functionality as the master keypad.
