XPLORER
Database Explorer displays and manages clips (XT clips and files), play-lists,
timelines, bins and logs for the media available on the EVS XNet network.
Clips & Playlists
Clips and Playlists created on EVS servers are synchronised to the IPDirector
central database and can be browsed from this window.
Timelines
Timelines created on the EVS servers and the IPDirector IPEdit system are visible
in the database window.
Files
Files managed by the IPDirector nearline management or IP Drive become
accessible and can be managed from the Database Explorer.
Bins & Logs
Bins and Logs are details only present on the IPDirector systems, and add
improved methods for associating clips and other details to the user. These
sections are not directly visible on EVS servers, but the results of these functions
can affect clips on the XNet network beneficially.
Features of the Database Explorer window include:
• bin management
• log sheet management
• timecode or free text search engine and search filters
• keyword filter and assignment
• thumbnail displays
