Review also the specific server scripts (depending on the operating system), that perform
tasks that set up and execute saved ESS CLI saved tasks. You might have to edit or translate
these scripts to run your DS CLI scripts.
Convert the individual tasks
Choose the ESS CLI tasks that you need to translate to the DS CLI. Refer to IBM System
Storage DS6000: Command-Line Interface User´s Guide, GC26-7922. You can then save
each translated task and run it in the DS6000 CLI environment.
Translate also (if needed) and edit the individual server scripts that set up and execute the
saved DS CLI scripts. See Table D-1 for an example of command translation.

Note: The DS GUI (via the DS SMC) does not save Copy Services tasks such as the ESS
GUI. You can only use the DS GUI for Copy Services in real time mode.
