Fasten the front of the assembly to the front frame using the supplied screws.

Insert an optional adapter into the module slot to ensure the adapter fits into
the assembly correctly.

Tighten all screws on the assembly.

Attach the dc power cable to the connector on the left-hand side of the riser
card assembly. Make sure the connector with the jumper is connected to the
riser card.

Connect the jumpers between the base power supply and the adapter power
supply together.

Replace the IBM 2210 cover as described in “Reinstalling the Cover” on
page 4-4.

Verify that the IBM 2210 is functioning correctly by using “MAP 0210: Verify
Operation” on page 2-23.
Removing the Adapter Enablement Feature

Remove the IBM 2210 cover as described in “Removing the Cover” on
page 4-2.

Detach the dc power cable from the connector on the left-hand side of the
riser card assembly.

Remove the front screws of the assembly from the front frame.

Remove the screw that fastens the rear of the assembly to the system board.
5
Carefully lift the assembly and riser board out of the socket on the system
board.
6
Remove the adapter power supply from the power supply cover.
Installing Optional Adapters
Refer to “Handling Static-Sensitive Devices” on page 4-2 before removing or
installing any of the optional adapters.
