Send Message +CMGS (Chapter 8)

Description: The field is the address of the terminal to which the message is sent. To send the text

message, type (0x1A) as the final character of the message. This command can be
aborted using the (0x1B) character while entering the message text.

The parameter is optional, it is used to set the length of the text string. When
is specified, the CMGS command will only process the number of bytes specified
by regardless of whether it contains , , or characters.

The , , , and parameters are optional. When not
specified, they default as follows:

Priority: 0 (Normal)
Privacy: 0 (Normal)

Reply Option: 0 (No Acknowledge)

Call back number: Not included in the message.


Values:

: Destination address value in string format.
: Length of the text message (in bytes).
: Message priority:

0 – Normal
1 – Interactive
2 – Urgent
3 – Emergency

: Message privacy:

0 – Normal
1 – Restricted
2 – Confidential
3 – Secret

: Message reply option:

0 – No Acknowledge
1 – Delivery Acknowledge

: Call Back
