♦ Time Controlled Press (Method 3)
This Load Control press method allows a pressing operation to be performed based off
of a given time [42: 2
ND Time].
Upon start of cycle, the press will operate until it achieves [13: Standard Load]. During
the press cycle, after achieving [18: Crossover Load], the press rate will be current
controlled to achieve [13: Standard Load] in proportion to the time specified in
[42: 2
ND Time] (Example: if [42: 2 ND
Time] is set to 10 seconds, it will take 10 seconds
to go from [18: Crossover Load] to [13: Standard Load]) . During the press cycle,
checks are performed for “1 ST Judgment Zone”, 1 ST Rate, 2 ND Rate, Load, Distance
and 1 ST Time. If any of these values are compromised, the press will stop and return as
programmed.

This press can be done with an ‘F’ type tool but make sure not to overload.
ƒ In this special setup, [42: 2 ND Time] is a “control” function and is not used for
judgment.
ƒ If “1 ST Judgment Zone” is not used, set [15: 1 ST Load] to [10: CAL Load] and
[23: 1 ST Distance] to a minimum of [21: High Distance].
ƒ Review Speed Section explanations and cautions when setting [15: 1 ST Load],
[14: Speed Change Load], [24: Crossover Distance] and [20: Freerun
Distance].
ƒ If 1 ST Rate is not used, set judgment windows wide open; low value of 0 and
maximum high value. Also, if 1 ST H/L Check is not being used, set [17: Threshold
Load] to [10: CAL Load].
