Removing SlMMs
If you need to remove SIMMs from your computer (to install
different ones, for example), follow the steps below.
1. Remove any option cards that may be blocking your access to
the SIMM sockets. See page 4-19 for instructions.
2. Use your fingers or a small screwdriver to carefully release
the metal tabs that secure the SIMM at each end. As you
release the tabs, the SIMM falls to the side. Remove it from
the socket.
3. If necessary, follow the same procedure to remove the other
SIMM.
4. Replace any option cards you removed as described on page
4-14.
5. The next time you turn on your computer, run the SETUP
program so your computer can update its memory
configuration.
