Appendix A Component Interaction Diagrams
EDL Export as Text File
This export functionality simply writes a text file (XML) to a hard drive. After the
export, the applications, such as NewsBrowse and NewsEdit, have no knowledge of
the text file.

1. User creates a timeline from the NewsBrowse
interface and selects Export.
2. The system (IIS) simply writes the edl XML to a
preconfigured destination.
3. NewsEdit can import the EDL from the export
destination.
The Exported EDL is not considered part of the
managed assets within NewsBrowse.
