Collecting event logs

Collect the logs of various events that have occurred in the FT server. It is recommended that you
collect all the logs of

Application Log

,

Security Log

, and

System log

using the following procedure.

IMPORTANT: If a STOP error or system error has occurred or the system has stalled, restart the
system, and then start collecting event logs.

1. Click [

Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer

.

2. Select the type of the log to be collected.

The

Application Log

contains events related to the applications that were active at occurrence of

the events. The

Security Log

contains security-related events. The

System Log

contains events

that occurred in system components of Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition.

3. Click

Save Log File As...

in the

Action

menu.

4. Enter the name of the target archive log file in the

File name

box.

5. Select the format of the target log file from the

Save as type

list box, and click

OK

.

Collecting configuration logs

Collect information such as the hardware configuration and internal setting information for the FT
server.

Important: If a STOP error or system error occurs or the system stalls, restart the system, and then
start the procedure.

Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Information
