Configuration
GPI Control
When the external GPI interface is controlling the Program Output selec-
tion (any of the four GPI control lines are activated by contact closure), the
module web pages will indicate this with a message in red stating:
GPI is con-
trolling the Program Output Selection
as shown in the example of the Output
Control web page in
.
Under the Switching Strategy section of this web page, the Switch Mode of
the module will be changed to
Manual
. A warning will also appear in this
section stating:
Remote and Local Program Output Selection Disabled
. In this state,
no other manual switching or remote controls will be able to change the
Program Output until all contact closures are disabled on all four GPI
control lines.
When GPI control is disabled, the module will be in Manual mode and can
be controlled using any of the manual switching controls or the user can
switch the module back to an autonomous mode by selecting either Main-
tain Primary or Maintain Stability as the Switch Mode using the Output
Control web page, the Newton Control Panel, or SNMP controls.
