Configuration
Bypass Mode
Use the Bypass Mode control to select from one of the following modes:
•
Passive Bypass Only – used primarily for a maintenance mode as
described in
Passive Bypass Only Mode on page 26
.
•
Active Processing Enabled – using this mode, one of two autonomous
switching strategies on the module determine when the Program
Output has become invalid and the module should switch to the
backup candidate. Refer to
for a detailed
explanation of this mode. Primary, Secondary, and Alternate signals are
monitored for presence, status, and line standard. The Alternate Input
must be enabled for usage in autonomous switch mode as described
next.

Alternate Input Usage in Autonomous Switch Mode
To include the Alternate Input on BNC J11 as a possible backup candidate
in the Autonomous mode, select the
Enable
radio button. The default is
Disable.
DVB/ASI Packet Length
Set the DVB/ASI packet length to the correct number of bytes for the DVB/
ASI signal you are using by selecting the

or
204
radio button.
