Object

Configure the track object function by adding the Track object to be monitored and
the processing method:

Object—Specify the serial number of the Track object to be monitored. You can

specify an uncreated object.

Reduced Priority—If the status of the monitored Track object changes to negative,

the priority of the router decreases by a specified value.

Switchover—If the status of the monitored Track object changes to negative, the

router immediately switches to the master.

IMPORTANT:

The configuration takes effect only when the router is not the IP address owner.

When the status of the monitored Track object turns from negative to positive, the

corresponding router automatically restores its priority.

In the list box of added Track object, the Priority/Switchover column displays a

value or the letter S, where the value represents the decreased value of the router

priority, and S represents the switchover mode.

Interface

Configure the track interface function by adding the specified interface to be
monitored and the processing method.

Interface—Name of the interface to be tracked.

Reduced Priority—If the monitored interface state turns from up to down, the

priority of the router decreases by a specified value.

IMPORTANT:

The configuration takes effect only when the router is not the IP address owner.

When the status of the tracked interface turns from down or removed to up, the

corresponding router automatically restores its priority.

The specified interface can be a Layer 3 Ethernet interface or a VLAN interface.
