Threshold Status Display
T1 Alarm Monitor
To enable or disable the alarm monitor, type “M”at the QUAD 2164
Main Menu. If alarm monitoring is enabled (the default), the prompt
appears:
Alarm monitoring disabled
Alarm monitoring disabled
Alarm monitoring disabled
Alarm monitoring disabled
If the alarm monitor is disabled, the prompt returns:
Alarm monitoring enabled
Alarm monitoring enabled
Alarm monitoring enabled
Alarm monitoring enabled
The menu selection toggles between disable alarm monitor and
enable alarm monitor. When the alarm monitor is enabled, all
alarms are written to the alarm buffer.
Alarm Buffer
Display
To display the alarm buffer, type “A” from the Main Menu. The
QUAD 2164 Alarm Buffer Menu appears as shown in
Figure 5-5

SES Exceeded
Indicates port counters have exceeded the threshold value specified for Severely Errored
Seconds.
SES Count
The current counter for Severely Errored Seconds.
UAS
Exceeded
Indicates port counters which have exceeded the threshold value you specified for
Unavailable Seconds.
UAS Count
The current counter for Unavailable Seconds.
CRC
Exceeded
Indicates port counters which have exceeded the threshold value you specified for
Cyclic Redundancy Checks.
CRC Count
The current counter for Cyclic Redundancy Checks.
Exit this
Screen
Use this option to return to the Main Menu.
