10. Type “A” and select “2” to enable card alarm reporting.

11. Use “P1”, “P2”, “P3”, and “P4” to enable alarm reporting on

each of the T1 ports.

12. Use “L1”, L2”, “L3”, and “L4” and select “2” for each to enable

automatic line restoral.

NOTE: If you do not change the line restoral option to either

AUTO

TOD

TOD, then any T1 circuit which fails will not be placed

back into service again after the outage has cleared.

13. Use “I1”, “I2”, “I3”, and “I4” to set the minimum length of time

that a previously failed T1 must be error free before the IMUX
2160 begins using it again. Use a value of “30” for 30 seconds.

14. Use “X” twice to return to the QUAD 2164 Main Menu. Type “S”

and indicate shelf “1” and slot “2” to navigate to the IMUX
2160. Type “C” to access the IMUX 2160 Configuration Menu.
