Copy Port Options To copy the configuration settings from one port to another, type
“C” from the QUAD 2164 Configuration Menu. The QUAD 2164 copy
port options appears.
E1 Timing Options To configure the QUAD 2164 timing options, type “T” from the
QUAD 2164 Configuration Menu. The QUAD 2164 Timing Options
menu appears (Figure 3-5).
Command Description
Ln Line Restoral—Use this option to remove the port from service under conditions of
excessive CRC, SES, UAS, BPV, or BER errors on each network port. The line will be
removed whenever a configured error threshold is exceeded. (The line will also be taken
out of service immediately if LOS, LOF, or AIS, are detected.)
Cn CRC Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of CRC errors that can
occur before the line is removed from service.
Sn SES Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of Severely Errored
Seconds errors that can occur before the line is removed from service.
Un UAS Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of Unavailable Seconds
errors that can occur before the line is removed from service.
Bn BER Threshold—Use this option to specify the maximum number of Bit Error Rate errors
that can occur before the line is removed from service.
Tn TOD HH:MM—Use this option to set the time of day in hours and minutes when a line
removed from service should be restored.
In Clear Interval—Use this option to specify how long a line removed from service for the
second time during a monitored period, should stay out of service before attempting
restoral. See Line Restoral above for more information. Verilink recommends that you
set the Clear Interval parameter to 900 seconds (15-minutes).
X Exit this screen—Use this option to return to the Configuration menu.
