Card Type Field - Mag Cards only
The Card Type field applies to Mag Cards only. It is not a data field on the card, but an
indicator of whether the card is a single card or part of a dual card set. If the card is a single
card, the card type indicator is a field separator (-). If it is part of a dual card set, both cards in
the set begin with two field separators (--). For manual entry and fuel delivery cards, the card
type indicator follows the system ID field (See
“Field Separator - Mag Cards only” on page 8
System ID Field - All Cards
The System ID indicated on your card layout, is a unique two to six-digit field assigned by
Gasboy. Its purpose is to protect your system from unauthorized users of other systems. In a
dual card system, the system ID is encoded and verified on both cards. If your system is being
configured to match another Gasboy system, you can use the same system ID.
