Purpose
Displays the version number of ROM-DOS in use and allows revision of
this version number.
Syntax
VER [n.nn] [/R]
Remarks
If a new version number is specified, two digits after the decimal are
required. This command revises only the record of the DOS version
number; it does not change the actual Operating System loaded in the
computer.
The version command shows both the version of the VER command
itself and the version of DOS in operation.
Options
/R shows the full version and release number of ROM-DOS.
Examples
VER 5.0
Changes the record of current DOS version in use to DOS 5.0. Any
programs that are executed, following this command, recognize that
DOS 5.0 is running.
