ERASE (cont.)
Options
/P causes ERASE to pause and prompt the user before each file is
deleted. This option is most useful when deleting files with wildcards.
A sample prompt is shown below:
Filename, Erase (Y/N) ?
Examples
ERASE MYLETTER.DOC
Erases the file MYLETTER.DOC from the current default subdirectory.
ERASE *.DOC
Erases all files in the current subdirectory with a .DOC file extension.
ERASE a:*.DOC /P
Erases all files on the a: drive with a .DOC extension. Before each file
is erased the user is prompted to determine if that file should be
erased.
