Sometimes there may be a limited set of mutually-exclusive options
from which to choose. In such cases, the possible choices are given,
separated by a vertical bar (|). For example:
BREAK [ON|OFF]
In this case, if you elect to include anything more than the word
BREAK
,
it must be either the word
ON
or the word
OFF
.
Keystroke Assumed
Although not noted, one keystroke is assumed at the end of each
command described. must be pressed to tell ROM-DOS to
accept your line of input. Any exception to this rule is made clear in
this documentation.
To illustrate, rather than showing the line:
DIR
we simply list the command:
DIR
with the understanding that you type DIR and then press to
execute the command.
