You can build your own test applications with the provided REST
commands. You can refer to the Using iOLM Measurement Services and
Using FG-700 Series REST Services documentation for detailed information.
It is possible to test the link to the rear Ethernet port by trying to access the
REST documentation on the unit.
To access the REST documentation:
1. Connect to the Host Web UI. For more information, see Accessing and
Exiting the Host Web UI on page 87.
2. From the main menu, select Actions > Applications.
3. Click the link corresponding to the document that you want to view.

MPORTANT

The computer that you intend to use to send commands must
be connected to the same network as the unit.

You must know the IP address of the rear Ethernet port. If you
do not know the IP address of the port, see Retrieving the IP
Address of the Rear Ethernet Port (Host) on page 55.
