Configuration (SIP)
Call Type selects the type of the call. For Peer Device set as EXFO
Device, only SIP Call is available. In Network Active test, the supported
call type is SIP Call.
SIP Call attempts to establish a single call with a single audio
session.
SIP Options Request attempts a single “options” request method
with the specified endpoint. Use this mode to test the availability of
the SIP endpoint without making a complete call.
SIP Proxy Registration attempts a single proxy “register” request
method with the specified registrar domain and proxy server.
SIP Call After Proxy Registration acts as a SIP Call, but includes
data acquired during registration with a specified registrar domain
and proxy server.
PRACK (Provisional Response ACKnowledgement) method is used to
acknowledge receipt of reliably transported provisional responses
(1xx). The reliability of 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx, and 6xx responses to INVITE
requests are achieved using the ACK method. However, in cases
where a provisional response such as 180 ringing is critical in
determining the call state, it may be necessary for the receipt of a
provisional response to be confirmed. The PRACK method applies to
all provisional responses except for the 100 trying response which is
never reliably transported.
