6.1 Troubleshooting procedure
If a trouble occurs, determine whether the cause lies on the mechanical side or on
the control system (S2T) side. A problem may cause a secondary problem,
therefore, try to determine the cause of the trouble by considering the whole system.
If the problem is found in the S2T or in the S2T’s I/O operation, check the following
points :
If the POWER LED is not lit, follow
the procedure in 6.2, Checking the
power supply.
If the RUN LED is not lit, follow the
procedure in 6.3, Checking the CPU.
^ If the user program operation is
abnormal, follow the procedure in
6.4, Checking the program.
'' if an abnormality is found in an input
module, follow the procedure in 6.5,
Checking input.
^ If an abnormality is found in an
output module, follow the procedure
in 6.6, Checking output.
If the problem appears temporary and is synchronous with the operation of the
system/equipment, the external environment (noise, voltage fluctuations, etc.) may
have caused it. For details, follow Section 6.7.
