Al AUTO
When the Al key is pressed before playing a CD, the recording in the
CD is analyzed in about 30 seconds and the optimum equalizer curve
and the LiNEAR ACOUSTIC CONTROL setting {volume balance be­
tween the main and omni speakers) are set automatically. After this,
the CD starts to be played from the first track.
Al FOCUS
When playing a CD with a DSP presence mode, the Al FOCUS sets the
optimum ASFC (a setting element determining the sound field
expansion) value in addition to the setting made with the Al AUTO.

During Al setting : Press the Al key again. (The equalizer curve immedi­
ately before will be recalled.)
After Al setting ; Press the FLAT key. (The equalizer curve becomes
flat.)
• The setting is also canceled when one of the LINEAR ACOUSTIC
CONTROL keys or the ■ key of the CD player is pressed.
Playing CD with enhanced presence effect (Al FOCUS}
Press one of the disc selector keys to select the \
CD to be played.
Each press switches the sound fields as follows.
