Al edit recording
In case the recording time of tape is shorter than the playing
time of the CD to be recorded, all of CD tracks (up to 20) can
be accommodated by fading out the ending parts.
Preparations • Load a cassette tape in deck B.
• Select the tape transport direction (◄
or ►).
• Select "ID" (two-side recording).
• Select the Dolby NR mode.
• Select the CD input with the
MAIN IN­
PUT key.
• Insert disc(s) in the CD player.
The equalizer and presence effects applied to the music are recorded
together with the music sound.

(In case of high-speed CCRS recording, the equalizer effect should be
switched off.)
Should be OFF.

Each press switches the edit modes as follows.

I — @ Al EDIT
Press so that the "Al EDIT" indicator lights.
Lights.
I The SPACE key and REPEAT key are invalid.
Press the numeric keys as shown below....
30-minute tape: [Tio]. [Tio], [7io], (^
46-minute tape: |+10|,|+1o1.k10|,rfTo],rBl
^46-, 54-, 60- or 90-minute tapes can be selected simply by pressing
the TIME key for the required number of times.
After entry, press the EDIT MODE key then proceed to step 4.
• CD tracks will be edited automatically onto tape sides A and B. After
editing, the Al EDIT indicator stops blinking and starts to light
steadily. •
• The recording level and bias will be adjusted automatically in approx.
90 seconds, after which recording starts.
• If the specified tape recording length is long enough, all CD tracks
will be recorded without being faded out.
• The tape and CD stop automatically when recording has completed,
• The Dolby NR is switched OFF during high-speed CCRS recording.
Therefore, the Dolby NR should be switched off when playing the
tape recorded by high-speed CCRS recording.
• The frequencies of musical notes are doubled during high-speed
CCRS recording. Therefore, the recorded contents cannot be en­
joyed as music even when the sound is monitored through the
speakers.
• The Al edit recording cannot be combined with cross- fade edit re­
cording.
