How the IntelliFAX600/650M handles incoming calls
depends on the setting of the ANSWER MODE. This is
controlled by the key at the top right of the control panel with
two lamps labelled AUTO ANS, F/T and TAD.
The IntelliFAX600/650M may be connected to a telephone
line on its own, or together with a telephone instrument so that
you can make and receive telephone calls, as well as receive
faxes.

If you wish to answer all incoming calls manually, press the
ANSWER MODE key until both lamps are off.
When an incoming call rings the telephone on the fax, answer
the call by picking up the telephone.
If you hear the voice of a human caller, you can have a
telephone conversation in the normal manner.
