PROBLEM
When the Call-Counter shows “—
CAUSE & REMEDY
•A power failure has occured, confirm whether the voice
messages are recorded on the tape or not.
•The ICM tape is not rewound after the unit is turned on.
The unit does not work when I press buttons.
Turn the POWER switch off, then turn it on again.
The unit has been set to the Auto Receiving
mode, but no voice-messages have been
recorded.
•The tape is broken (cut, worn out or twisted) or not installed.
•Change the FUNCTION selector to the ANS/FAX position.
When the tape is played back, the sound ievel
«Raise the sound level using the SPEAKER VOLUME control,
is lower and nothing is heard.
«Clean the head. See “MAINTENANCE” on page 30 in
INSTALLATION MANUAL.
I have played back all the recorded messages
Leave the unit as it is after hearing the messages.
and I want to record the next call after the last

Set the CPC to“B”.
Vox detect time should be set to 4 seconds.
Set the RINGER VOLUME selector to the HIGH or LOW
position.
Look at the MUTE indicator. If it is lit, press the MUTE button to
resume the conversation.
