The minimum change for each input works in conjunction with the
“
Scan period
”
, which is common to all inputs and settable from this
page.
The same page also determines the logging of the 3 System
Monitors. These are 3 additional system inputs that monitor the
battery charger status, battery voltage, and system temperature.
System monitor logging is configured in a manner similar to that
described above.
You can exit at any time without making changes by clicking the
“
Cancel
”
link. Save the new values by clicking on the
“
Save
”
button.
NOTES:
1. You can mix Spider
’
s native inputs with the SDI-12 inputs as
required. To do that, simply select the required channel type
from the drop-down list in the
“
Type
”
column.
2. A channel reading of -99999 indicates that the Spider is not
able to communicate with the sensor. Check the SDI delay
(warm-up) time, verify the SDI address is set to 0, and check
all physical connections.
SDI-12 Transparent Mode
SDI-12 Transparent Mode is provided as an interactive tool for direct
communications with attached SDI-12 sensor(s). It allows users to
interrogate sensors, verify their operation, etc.
To enter the SDI-12 Transparent mode, access the
“
CHANGE
SETUP
”
page, as described in Setting up a Spider for the First Time
on page 32.

. The following page will display:
