Axiom recommends purging with dry instrument air
or nitrogen at all times, to prevent condensation
within the cell, or the fiber optic cable connector
areas. Threads are 1/8 NPT female.
A flow rate of 2-3 milliliters/minute is generally
adequate to prevent condensation due to
temperature variations. (See Axiom manual for
complete information.)
A calibrated torque wrench must be used to tighten
the SMA connectors. The specification is 8 in-lb, or
0.9Nm.
