c. Attach one end of battery cable to positive
terminal (A) of booster battery, and other end to
positive terminal (B) of windrower batteries.
d. Attach second cable to negative terminal (C) of
booster battery, and then to a good ground (D) on
windrower frame.
e. Turn ignition switch in cab as with normal start up.
f. After engine starts, disconnect cable from
windrower ground first, and then disconnect the
other cables.
g. Move platform back to closed position.
7.11.1.5 Adding
Electrolyte
WARNING
• Keep all smoking
materials, sparks and
flames away from
electrolyte container
and battery, as gas
given off by electrolyte
is explosive.
• Battery electrolyte causes severe burns.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.
Wear protective eyewear and heavy
gloves.
WARNING
• If electrolyte is spilled or splashed on
clothing or on the body, neutralize it
immediately with a solution of baking soda
and water, then rinse with clean water.
Electrolyte splashed into the eyes is
extremely dangerous.
• Should this occur, force the eye open and
flood with cool, clean water for five
minutes. Call a Doctor immediately.
a. If battery is installed in windrower, shutdown the
engine, and remove the key.
b. Move platform on right cab-forward side of
machine to rear to allow access to the battery.
c. Add electrolyte in accordance with the battery
manufacturer’s instructions.
d. Move platform back
to normal position.
Ensure lock engages.
