g. Add oil as follows if level is below the LOW mark:
One U.S. qt. (1 litre) is will raise the level from
LOW to HIGH.
CAUTION
Do not fill above the HIGH mark.
1. Turn handle (A) on filler cap (B) counter
clockwise to loosen bung, and remove filler
cap.
2. Carefully pour the oil. Use SAE 15W40
Compliant With SAE Specs for API Class SJ
and CH-4 Engine Oil. A funnel is
recommended to avoid spillage.
3. Replace oil filler cap (B), and turn handle (A)
clockwise until snug.
h. Close engine compartment hood.
7.8.4 CHANGING OIL AND OIL FILTER
NOTE
The engine should be warm prior to
changing the oil.
a. Stop the engine and remove the key.
b. Place a drain pan of about 5 U.S. gallons (20
litres) under the engine oil drain.
c. Remove oil pan drain plug (C), and allow the oil to
completely finish draining.
d. Check the condition of the used oil. If
either of
the following is evident, have your MacDon Dealer
correct the problem before starting the engine:
1. Thin black oil indicates fuel dilution.
2. Milky discoloration indicates coolant dilution.
e. Open engine compartment hood to lowest
position.

Clean around the filter head (D).
g. Remove filter (E).
h. Clean gasket mating surface.
i.
Apply a thin film of clean oil to the gasket on the
new filter.
j.
Screw the new filter onto the filter mount until the
gasket contacts the filter head.
