MTS TestSuite software includes the TWE application, which allows you to design and run tests, and the
TWX application, which allows you to run tests only.

TWE Startup
1. Click the Windows Start button on your desktop and select Programs > MTS 793 Software > Station
Manager.
2. In the Open Station window, select a configuration file and then click Open.
3. Minimize the Station Manager application.
At this point, the station configuration is loaded and the Station Manager application is providing real-time
control of the test station. You can now minimize the Station Manager application and perform all other
tasks with the TW Elite application.
Note:
With the Station Manager main window minimized, close all other Station Manager windows
such as the Scope, Meters, and Display Setup windows.
4. Start the TWE application.

Double-click the TWE icon on your desktop, or click Start > Programs > MTS TestSuite > TW Elite.
The application opens and connects to the MTS FlexTest controller (the controller icon appears on the
taskbar).
Working with Limits
To install the physical specimen into the test frame, you must position the actuator. To do this, you may
use one or more of the following, depending on your system:
• The Manual Command panel in the Station Manager application
• The Model 494.05 Handset
• Test frame controls
This section describes how to install the specimen with the Manual Command panel and other Station
Manager application features.
