The Class Parameters menu appears:

Table 10-3
.
To include a port as part of a class, select option 7
from the Switching Parameters Menu (see Section
10.7, Asynchronous Switching Parameters
, and
Table 10-2
) and insert the class name.
To define a class that a port automatically connects
to, select option 8 from the Switching Parameters
Menu (see Section 10.7 Asynchronous Switching
Parameters
and Table 10-2) and insert the class (or
node/class) name.

Changes the name of this class. To rename a class, select this option and the
following prompt will appear:
ENTER CLASS NAME [name](^X TO ABORT):
Enter the desired class name. Press
press ^X.
Class names can be up to eight characters long. Only letters (a to z, A to Z),
numbers (0 to 9), and the underscore symbol (_) can be used. The first two
characters must be letters. Names are not case-sensitive, so hp_acctg,
HP_ACCTG
, and HP_Acctg are the same name.

Secondary Class
0
An alternate group of ports that will be searched should all ports in the primary
class name be unavailable. This is optional.
Note:
This is not a subclass, but an alternative class.
The secondary class must be assigned within
the same hub as the primary class.
To designate a secondary class, select this option and the following prompt will
appear:
ENTER SECONDARY CLASS #[0]:
Enter the class number of the secondary class. Press
secondary class, enter
0
. To abort the process, press ^X.
The secondary class must be predefined as a primary class before being defined
as a secondary class.
