3.6 Editing the I/O Map Parameters

Figure 3-13

shows the I/0 Map dialog box of the XTC/3 Editor.

NOTE: This box will be GRAYED OUT in an XTC/3S configuration since the I/O is

fixed in that instrument.

This box allows the selection of the system Inputs, Relays and TTLs from a drop
down list.

Figure 3-13 I/O Map

I/O functions can be assigned to their respective input (1 to 9) or output (1 to 20)
using a drop-down list, see

Figure 3-15

. These I/O functions are described under

the Input Names, Relay Names, and TTL Names columns. If Sel Process input
or a Cruc Src output is chosen, a varying number of inputs/ouputs is reserved. The
reserved slots will be grayed out and cannot be sent or queried (see input 7 or
14/15 TTL Send above or Relay 4-9 in

Figure 3-13

).

If a Controller is attached to the PC then the Input, Output and TTL parameters
from the controller can be queried and displayed in the I/O Map dialog box of the
Editor. If all parameters were queried from the Main Page then the parameters will
be shown on the I/O Map dialog box when the dialog is opened.
