Lap Timing Sensor (Optional)
The lap timing sensor is actuated by an infra-red beacon
positioned at the side of the circuit. The sensor is fixed to a rigid
bracket mounted at a convenient position on the outside of the
vehicle where it is able to detect the signals from the beacon.
It is secured by two nuts (supplied) with an M18 x 1 mm thread.
This sensor must be positioned horizontally and square to the
axis of the vehicle. In order to detect the signals from the beacon,
it must be positioned outside the vehicle. It should, if possible,
be positioned so that other vehicles that are being overtaken (or
are overtaking) at the moment your vehicle passes the beacon do
not block the signal.
Note that after detecting a signal, the system does not recognize
any further signals from beacons for a period of ten seconds.
Note: Mounting bracket is not included.
