Vendor OID

Vendor identification attribute to be used for all device with SNMP implemented.

These attributes are administered by IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers

Authority). Prefix for company 2N TELEKOMUNIKACE is:

1.3.6.1.4.1.6530 (iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.tel2n)

SNMP – SNMPv1, 2

Permits using SNMP protocol version 1 and 2. These versions are not encrypted,

this is the reason why the permission of these versions is separated from version

3.

Enable

Enables using SNMP protocol version 1 and 2.

If not selected, no traps in version 1 or 2 are sent, all incoming requests in
these versions are ignored.

Community name

Specifies to which community will be the device assigned. On the monitoring

center are devices obviously joint into communities, to distinguish groups of

users. For common use is usually set the community ‘public’.

Access Rights

Specifies which rights have users accessing to the device using SNMP requests.

Setting options:

Read only

Read Write

Note

Setting Read only prevents change of setting, requests type SET REQUEST
are ignored.

SNMP – SNMPv3

SNMP v3 changes not only encrypted communication, but there are significant

changes in concept and terminology. This is the reason why the setting is

separated from older versions.
