C. Oil Change
Change hydraulic oil filter after the first 50 hours
of operation and every 1000 hours or annually
thereafter.
Replace hydraulic oil annually or as required. Oil
must be cool before changing.
Other than the annual interval, the hydraulic oil must
be changed when a hydraulic component has con-
taminated the system.
1.
Level the vehicle, ground the carriage, place travel
select lever in (N) Neutral, engage the emergency
brake switch and shut off the engine.
4.
The oil level should be visible within 1/2 inch of the
upper mark on the sight gauge. If it is not, open
the locked hydraulic fill access door (Figure 43).
Remove the reservoir cap and add ISO-46 or MIL-
L-2104C oil. (See table on page 65.) For vehicles
equipped with the original sight gauge, the hydrau-
lic oil level should be up to the minimum oil level
line on the adjacent decal.
5.
Install reservoir cap, close and lock fill access
door.
