Reach in and remove the bearing extension cover from the pump head
assembly - four (4) 1/4”-20 screws.
It is not necessary to disassemble the bell housing from the pump head to
service the bearings or oil seal.

Remove (pull) the pump shaft assembly, with both bearings, from the pump
head. This exposes the oil seal.
6.
Remove (press–out) the oil seal and discard. Oil seals cannot be reused.
To replace the oil seal, order Hale p/n: 296-2090-00-0.
7.
Inspect all parts for excessive wear, chips, scoring or other damage. Repair
and/or replace accordingly.
