1 Mode or function
name • Displays the currently selected mode or function setting.
• Displays the current settings menu or option.
• If an error occurs, displays the error message.
• During standby, displays the date and the amount of
memory available.
2 Message area Displays messages such as operating instructions.
Symbol Description
Sending/receiving e-
mail messages An e-mail message is being sent or received.
In standby for timer
transmission An e-mail message is queued for timer transmission.
