11.2
Entering text
This section contains details on using the keyboard that appears in the touch panel for typing in the names
of registered destinations and accounts. The keypad can also be used to type in numbers.
11.2.1
Typing text

In the keyboard that appears, touch the button for the desired character.

To switch from lowercase to uppercase letters, touch [Caps]. To cancel it, touch [Caps] again to
deselect it.

To switch between entering letters or symbols, touch the button for switching the input mode.

Detail
To change a character in the entered text, touch
and
to move the cursor to the character
to be changed, touch [Delete], and then type in the desired letter or number.
To clear all entered text, press the [C] (clear) key.
If the number of characters exceeds the limit allowed, the last character is replaced with the last
character entered.
With software switch settings (mode 478), how text is deleted can be specified. For details on the
software switch settings, refer to the User’s Guide [Network Administrator].
