7.4.2 CHANGING THE PUMP OIL
WARNING: This operation must be carried out by qualified personnel.
To change the oil, use exclusively original SW40/60 type oil, in the quantity indicated in the Table shown below (for the order codes, refer to the spare
parts Table). This oil is specially meant for use in vacuum pumps in the food packaging sector: it has high anti-emulsion power with water, a factor
which influences the pump efficiency and life to a considerable extent.
1) Run the pump for about 10 minutes so that the oil becomes fluid, by activating the PUMP function.
2) Stop the pump by pressing STOP or deactivating the pump function.
3) Switch off the machine using the ON/OFF main switch and remove the plug from the power socket.
4) Unscrew the filling screw (A) as follows:
In the MEDIO model, remove the side stainless steel panel (B) and then remove the screw (A) using an Allen key.
In the GRANDE model, the screw (C) is accessible from the outside. Unscrew it using an Allen key.
5) Use a container to hold the oil drained out and unscrew oil drain screw (D) provided at the bottom of the pump.
Let the oil flow out into the container for about 10 minutes.
6) Refit the oil drain screw (D) and fill with the type of oil indicated in the “TECHNICAL DATA” page 14, table to a level slightly above half-way on the
level indicator on the pump (E).
7) RESET NUMBER OF CYCLES:
• With the machine off with the plug inserted, simultaneously press and press the ON / OFF. (The display shows “TEC”);
• Press the SEAL to get punched in the clear function cycles;
• Press both buttons ;
• Press the STOP button. (Zero cycles executed).
